Hey guys, sorry about the break I came down with the flu and couldn't get back in to the rhythm of writing. but I'm back with another post.

Hi guys just thought I would do something different today. DIY Sharpie mugs these make great gifts for friends family and wedding gifts. They are easy to do but are also very easy to stuff up so follow along to learn how to make these amazing personalised mugs. Once the mugs are baked the designed are permanent they will not wash off and it is dishwasher safe, therefore make great gifts.

You will need

 1. Cheap porcelain mug (I got mine from K'mart for $1).
 2. Black Sharpie (permanent marker). Please only use black, other             colours do not contrast right when they are baked, unless you use a       non fading permanent marker.
3. White Vinegar, rubbing alcohol, or pure acetone (don't use nail polish     remover as some has moistening ingredients in them)
4. Cotton pads.

To start of get some of the vinegar on to a cotton pad and clean over the area of the cup where you are going to draw on. You want to get off any excess oils that could be on the mug. After you have cleaned the mug be careful to not touch the area you will be drawing.

Start drawing!!

I like to draw some cute quotes or a cute pictures. For special gifts some ideas are write the persons name or the letter of the persons name on the cup or Mr and Mrs ones for a cute wedding present.

If you do make a mistake and you want to rub it off you can used the cotton pad with the vinegar and rub gently but keep in mind that the Sharpie does dry quickly so if you make a mistake do it quickly.
Once you have finished drawing pop the cup in to a cold oven and set it at 230 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes.

Once the 30 minutes is up turn off the oven, open it up a bit and let the oven naturally cool down. This way the cups will not shatter when you pull it straight out.

Once its cool you are done and now you can enjoy these mugs for years to come.

Since it is coming up to Easter some other cool idea's is to make some cute rabbit or chicken faces on them and them put a colourful Easter egg in the mug or fill it up with you favourite candy. check out these ones below.
