We all know how important it is to keep hydrated and how important water is for our bodies. First of all drinking enough water though out the day is a struggle, I mean I'd rather be drinking coffee, smoothies or even fizzy drinks - you know, the really nice tasting stuff that's full of sugar. But in reality If you want to keep a good figure and stay healthy you should be drinking at least 2L of water a day or more if your working out. This is something I am working on constantly.

Not only is water good for your skin, your digestive system and keeps you hydrated and full for longer after eating. What if I told you you could expand those health benefits by adding just a squeezes of lemon to your glass of water. After learning about the slew of health benefits associated with drinking water and freshly squeezed lemon juice, I decided to make it a part of my daily diet. Lemons are packed with natural vitamins and minerals that are key to your inner and outer beauty regime as well as your general health.

here are three reasons why you should pair water with lemons ladies:
  • gives your immune system a boost
  • aids digestion
  • is an excellent source of potassium
  • cleanses your system
  • freshens your breath
  • keeps your skin blemish-free
  • helps aid weight loss
  • reduces inflammation
  • gives you an energy boost
  • helps fight viral infections
  • helps to cut out caffeine
  • helps with aches and pains
  • and strengthens the brain.
Since I started to drink lemon water I have noticed a huge change in my body, one is hunger pains. Usually throughout the day I get hungry just before lunch but since drinking lemon water I find my self not having a bite to eat till lunch time. I think this is part of the process that helps aid weight loss, Lemons contain something called Pectin Fiber which is meant to assist in fighting hunger cravings.

For those of you asking, I usually drink about 1.5L of water with 1/2 a lemon’s juice. But hot water is great too, especially in the winter morning with a little bit of ginger as well to keep those pesky little colds away, It really depends on how I’m feeling that day… Lemon water isn't for everyone but if you do like it, definitely try to have a couple of glasses a day!
