For someone that has been hitting the gym for over 8 year now I have performed and witnessed the utmost awkward moments in the gym. For a place that can make you look and feel good it can also be a place for cringe-worthy moments which we have all experienced - I have for sure.

I have walked out being horrified with what I have witnessed and never to return again but it happens to all of us, so dont back out of trying to achieve your goals.

  1. Leaving your beautiful sweaty bum marks on the mat.
  2. Discovering you have a hole in your leggings after you've just done squats.
  3. Realising you have put on your unsquat proof leggings on leg day.
  4. Grunting... do I have to say any more.
  5. Checking yourself out in the mirror for far to long, to the point someone is looking at you.
  6. Farting while in a yoga class
  7. Side stepping in the wrong direction in Zumba causing you to bump in to the person next to you
  8. Catching someones eye when taking that 10/10 selfie.
  9. Forgetting to shave your pits in the morning. Leg day it is.
  10. Nudity in the changing rooms, eyes down I dont want to catch anyones eye. 
  11. Sweat patches in places you dont want sweat patches.
  12. Clothing malfunctions, can I run away now.
  13. Trying to out run the person next to you on the treadmill.
  14. Falling over a piece of equipment and spraining your ankle in front of everyone.
  15. Turning up to a fitness class for the first time and failing terribly at it.
  16. The gym hottie catching you checking them out. Look away, look away.
  17. Walking in to your crush after the gym looking like a sweaty mess.
  18. Siting in someones pool of sweat. Wipe the equipment down people!
  19. Catching someones eye when in an awkward pose or squat. The most awkward moment avoid person at all times.
  20. Accidentally spilling water all down you. I'm just a bit weak in the arms from carrying the weights.
  21. Spending hours trying to untangle your headphones.
  22. Getting hit on by a guy that think he knows everything about the gym.
  23. Pretending to be on your phone as you subtly wait for that guy to leave the machine you need.
  24. Using the the weights machine wrong. Just being creative.
  25. Trying out a new exercise from an Insta #fitspo post…but it’s complicated AF and you gotta commit because you’ve accidentally racked up an audience.
