The other day when I was in down town Auckland with two of my best friends we went in to this tea shop called T2. In New Zealand you don't often come across a tea shops at all and to my knowledge this is the only loose leave tea shop in New Zealand. I have to admit I'm not a very big tea drinker, I love my herbal fruit teas, the old fashion black teas (English Breakfast and Earl Grey) I'm not much of a fan of. Although recently I found a tea called Chai served with soy milk and a dash of honey - that sh*t is amazing.

The quirky tea shop is located on the main street of Auckland Queen St, although recently they have just opened up a new one in Newmarket. The thing I love about this place is the range of teas, you can get anything from green, white, yellow, black, herbal, rooibos, oolong and organic. Not only is there a range of tea's there is a range of flavours from strawberry's and Cream (another one of my favourites) to Red Choc mint. They are always brewing a new concoction of tea (yes they have a sampling table) I always just pop in and try the new flavours of the day, at the moment they have all of there cherry bomb flavours out.

Not only do they sell tea but everything to make tea in, they have the most amazing tea sets they occasionally have artist come in a design there tea sets. The new set (above) are the Hypnotizing black and white tea set above they are all different which I think is really cool and unique. The Yunnan range (below) is simply divine and rather impressive. Delicate lines of gold shape the whimsical drawings of almond trees, reminiscent of springtime in Yunnan. Aren't they they most cute Chinese styled cups.

If you love tea this place is a must, you will all ways find a tea that you will love. You can mix and mingle different teas together to make a tea explosion that's what I love doing - lemon grass and ginger is my favourite mix. Also with most of there herbal teas you can make it hot or iced tea.

I cant forget the amazing service, almost every time I go in I get amazing service the people that work there know their tea and are always walking around with teas to hand out. When you go to pay they always send you home with a few samples to try that aren't on the display table and guess what you can choose you samples, even if your not paying for anything you can still go and ask for a take home sample of a tea you want to try.

Because I'm such a fan of chai and chocolate I thought this time I would take home and try the Choc Chip Chai and guess what it is amazing the old fashioned way boiled on a stove top pot with soya milk and a teaspoon of honey - heaven. If you live in Auckland this place is a much otherwise check out there website http://www.t2tea.com/ and learn all about the amazing tea.
